Does anyone know of a safe hair dye for people with vitiligo?
I have never dyed my hair but was thinking of doing it recently. I've been getting more grey which is probably natural as I'm getting near the big 50. I bought some of that "Just for Men" (in the UK) but then realised it says "Do not use if you have vitiligo" as it can make it worse because of the phenols.
Also can grey hair be a result of vitiligo?

get tested for copper and folic acid deficiencies, these both can bring back hair colour. I have had vitiligo and the BC and i cant believe it would be coincidence after learning so much abt hair dye/ink pigments etc. dark dyes are worse than lightning. do your homework.
Avoid any product that contains hydrogen peroxide (H2O2), chlorine, hydroquinone (benzene) and phenol.
Most hair dyes contain Phnols and the above Chemicals Flavio mensioned which is not good for vitligo, use black hena is safest .
Thanks for all the answers. I hadn't thought of Henna but just found some on Amazon http://www.amazon.co.uk/Surya-Brasil-Henna-Cream-Colouring/dp/B0007...
