  • Ainara, in my protocol compilation I never had Ginkgo Biloba there.  I never considered it there because I always heard some people complaining and some other supporting it.  I try to stick with the common sense.  So far,  I consider grape seed extract instead of Ginko Biloba. They are different, but both are natural anti-oxidants.  Check it out.

    • I will try coconut or sugar free almond milk. My problem is I often forget drinking milk. I was told tofu is not good for male, but female, you might do some research about it. I love organic tofu. I only very occasionally eat pear, maybe I should avoid it. Thank you for mentioning about pear.
      • Sounds interesting. I will check it out.

Among all non-dairy milk alternatives, coconut was the less allergenic one.  Almond was also taken out of the diet based on the food allergy test.

Btw,  there is a food panel by US BioTek Lab called Standard Food Panel: IgA/IgG/IgE.  I think any Doctor can order that.  It shows your reaction against most of spices, herbs,  vegetables, grains, fruits, dairy, meat, fish/seafood and others, in a 0-5 grade.  See the amazing example attached.

    • Thank you all for the information about Ginkgo Biloba, I will stop taking it just in case. I think some of my
repigment on my eyebrow area is due to the protopic twice a day( I took one week break from it and put it back on today) and my diet changes, I am doing juice daily using organic ginger, kale, celery, carrot, beet roots, apple, etc, also daily early sun(walking around the park around 9am, thanks for the Florida sun). Try to go to bed before 11:00 (used to be later than that), I feel much better. I used to have a mild headache now and then on my right side of my head, now it is gone. I am eating Wild Salmon fish, tofu and sometimes grass fed beef as protein. I don't drink cow milk at all since I remembered. My big support is doing your own organic juice and use protopic for your face area.
      • I am doing macrobiotic diet too and I have to say that I feel very good. But only changing my diet it hasn't change anything about my vitiligo. However, when I started takin Ginkgo Biloba infusion some freckles started to turn up around my body.

I think I will stop to take the infusion and see what is going to happen.

Thanks so much all of you to share your thinks and sorry for my english :-)

      • Excellent news!

keep an eye on tofu (soy).  I had to take it out after an allergy test, despite no side effects.

You didn't mention pear, but  just in case, avoid it.  It has hydroquinone.

Coconut milk is a good alternative.

    • Thank you Flavio for your answer, I really appreciate.

      Best regards,

      Ainara

      • Ginkgo Biloba :- Watch out for those who is going to try ,some say it helps them while some say it makes there vitiligo spreading...if you observe some side effect stop it ..if it is ok and show you some repigment signs I don`t see why to stop it.

  • Hello,

I just read these articles and now I am scared. These last four months I have been taking Ginkgo Biloba infusion and I was happy, because some repigmentation freckles have started dating.

Now, once read these articles I have doubts about if I have to continue taking this infusion or stop.

In any case, thanks for sharing the articles with all of us.

    Best regards,

    Ainara

    • Ainara,

I haven't looked at it recently but last time I reviewed Gingko Biloba it was still considered safe. If you are having success with it I see no reason to stop taking it. It differs for each individual but you will see from many others that it has helped in bringing the pigmentation back.

I would just never take more than 120mg per day looking at research.

      Regards

      Simon.
