Obviously it's not going to be a cure, it's just another treatment, and it may or may not work for each person, but as others have said we've got to try... right?
Dr. Schallreuter has published some very interesting information about what she's trying to achieve with this cream. It's different from Protopic or steroids in that it reduces H2O2 (peroxide) levels in the skin, which may be the cause of the pigment loss.
In my un-educated view, whether that will help or not (assuming it does what she claims it does) will depend on what causes your vitiligo. There is no one cause, vitiligo is complex, and most people probably have more than one thing causing it, I suspect.
As a new member of Vitiligo Friends I´ve been looking a bit around and found your post! Interesting for me as we have been doing the same treatment to our son (9 years) since February this year.
I know your post is several years old, but I am very curious to know how it went and what status is today!
Can you share more information about your sons treatment. Like what has the progress been - have you noticed that the spread has stopped, have you seen repigmentation. What are the chances of reoccurrence. And last but no the least, what body parts is this treatment most suitable for. I wish you and your son luck with this treatment.
I am sorry to disappoint you all...This Treatment is not scam but it doesn't help as she claimed 95% repigmentation is false ,may be vice versa it helps 5 % ,,I have been her patient and done a lot research, asked many of her patients, she is just after our money.she has been ones known vitiligo researcher and she misuse her reputation to earn money from us , by now she had over 2000 patients it is only few who say it helped them , it helps in some degree for those who has too much vit like universal vit , she claim the best result is after combining Deadsea but Deadsea alone helps to repigment.. Those who claim that it helped them it is because they combined it with Deadsea . If this treatment is helpful many of us could have claiming good result about it,many keep quite because they think it is there fault that it didn't work for them ,coz she put you in a very difficult treatment which you don't accomplish any way...use cream 2 times a day and stay for few seconds under uvb cabin for several years..who can do that. The theory behind the cream is correct but it doesnt work in reality .
bamsegutt - how much vit are you affected by? how long did it start? I don't think there is any quick fix for this disease. however, we must all continue to try...
I definitely appreciate all of dr.shauletter's work and dedication. is she making money of course. however at least she is making the effort. hopefully with persistence we will make make progress.

I'm planning to try it, although I haven't yet.
