  • I have been working out for the past couple years on and off and my vitiligo hasn't spread more rapidly.
  • Hey brian,jiamie.

I've been feeling down for years about my vit, but in the last year I've changed everything from diet to fitness. I've lost 3 stone in weight and started weight training but I've also seen my vit spread like wildfire! I'm a lot more healthy than I was too....
    • I train on and off, makes no difference to my vit, either does diet, though I've always exercised at least an hour a day for last decade or so.
    • dont despair! if you read the 2 case studies of Emily and a Dr (cant remember her name) who repigmented through diet etc I seem to remember that they said it went crazy for a while and they were depigmenting as fast as they were repigmenting. I think it took a year before it really got better....so keep going
    • I'm pretty sure it doesn't (for me that is). I love going to the gym! It's my number one method of relieve stress, which I believe makes the vit go worse.
  • Jeez I really hope not. From my personal experience working out hasn't made mine spread quicker. But I'm just one person so I would scourer the internet for more info. but I haven't read anything that would suggest it either. As jiamie said being depressed if one thing that i have read can make it spread, and regular exercise is a known stress reliever. I've been reading alot about how diet affects vit. hows your diet?
  • i dont think there is significance between them as far as i know vitiligo is spreading fast if the person are always depress and sad...
