Does sugar increase the digestion time by hampering the production of stomach acid which is responsible for digestion? Anybody having any expertise on this....pls rply !!

Errm, I'm not an expert on this. I only have a little knowledge about it. I know that sugar mixes to your bloodstream very quickly but it's nutrition intake what helps us to digest. I wouldn't think that sugar increases the digestion time, if you are not talking about lactose-glucose syrup although that doesn't only contain sugar and it's quite complex the way it works so you better look up online :) but I know for sure sugar is not the answer to help digestion-a good liver and a balanced diet are!
Thanks for your reply milner...Actuallly someone told me to avoid sugar at any cost and he gave the reason related to stomach acid...that's why I asked in this forum.
