Dead Sea anyone?

I shall be hopping along to the Dead Sea in June/july so if anyone would care to meet up there or share hotel room or make a group....options are all open.  Do let me know and we can have all a great time over there and the bonus may be "THE CURE"....

    • Have you been able to contact Dr. Karin's clinic?  The never replied mu emails...

  • I would like to take part of Dr. Karin  Schallreuter trip to Dead Sea.  It seems to be impossible to reach her Clinic either by email or phone.  Does anybody know how to book it?

    Thanks in advance.

  • from memory the dead sea trips run by dr schallreuter are around may every year because it combines the dead sea water with the specific bandwith of uvb light rays created at that time of year. she has been researching many mant years to find the most effective time ans method of repig. at the dead sea. you may be putting your skin at risk of damage to do this without medical supervison. if you are determined to go without medical supervison I would suggest to read as many of the climateotherapy / balneotherapy studies done for vitiligo in tgis area. you health is worth the full and proper investigation and investment.
    • adnan I have not beento dead sea but have had a little success with nutritional therapy. I am.considering attending next year however is expensive as would require a trip to Germany first for consultation. my preference would be to travel in organised tour for medical and personal safety.
    • Look being without bread is very very hard. Yes maybe it's better to be hit by a truck. But the primary purpose of food is to provide nutrition. I don't know if gluten is your issue or it may be milk related or something entirely different. if can get tested or if not just try to stop eating it for 3 weeks and then eat it again for 2 days - twice a day and see what happens. If you get some sort of symptoms then you are prob allergic or sensitive to gluten. This can sensitivity can happen after years of being fine. It's not mandatory to do this. But an option to try and see how you feel.

For low stomach acid - take a tablespoon of raw organic apple cider vinegar. I don't know if they it available in Pakistan - maybe bigger stores or you can get it from Eurpoe . You take this before each meal. I think betadine does this same thing but consult a doctor. You have to try it and see if it makes a difference. There are ppl who say that avoiding gluten helps them retain pigment. Good luck!
    • Rice is also gluten free. So instead of roti, biscuits, Suji, naan, pizza eat rice based stuff. It takes discipline and effort but it's totally doable. Just see how you feel after you do it. It takes discipline. In America there usually aisles devoted to gluten free foods. When gluten is a problem it's usually sensitivity. Howver if you have celiac disease then gluten essentially is poison. You will wind up in the hospital from the inflammation. Think of vitligo or any other autoimmune disease as a "protest" or warning sign from the body that something is not right. This allergy/sensitivity can happen after years of being fine and being able to tolerate gluten. Gluten tends to irritate the gut (digestive system) and scrapes it ..and make cause a leaky gut. So if you have any digestive problems or indigestion then it is best to avoid gluten at least until the gut is fully healed. This usually takes 6 months or 1 year. it's worth a shot and there is nothing to lose. Some people may even lose weight if that's their desire.
      • so have you tried it being gluten free i mean......you know we love rotis and its better being hit by a truck then stop eating hot rotis....you know what i mean shifa....sorry lemme just take a bite of this roti.....

    • I am beginning to believe that Diet is very important to retain pigmentation. there are numerous cases of people reversing their auto-immune conditions. Seems to be that gluten and diary are two the biggest culprits.
      • what exactly is gluten...I never really understand it or my brain chooses not to understand but which foods should I avoid with gluten.
