Recently a friend of mine let me know about a new vitiligo cure research. When I started reading about it, I realized that the Doctor's theory answers most of the doubts, if not all of them.
Before checking it out, be prepared to break paradigms, since he states that the main cause of non-segmental vitiligo is not the immune system, but friction (physical stress).
My son is 13 years old and he has vitiligo since 9. I have taken him to most of the medical specialties in order to find all the vitiligo puzzle pieces, but it seems that I'm not going to get anywhere.

I also had a chance to speak with Doctor Matteo Bondignon (researcher) and I would like to share with you, but check out links above first...
I said:
"We all know that vitiligo is a symptom of something wrong from inside. I've been working hard to find the right diet and supplementation for my son. I've been also taking him to an UVB-NB phototherapy treatment. We did all the allergy tests, we treated dysbiosis, we checked thyroid and emotional stress. I reduced the oxidative streess as much as I could.

Even if they do manage to come up with something that stops the spread of Vitiligo. What are the chances of gaining pigment back in those patches? Wouldn't that be twice as hard.
That's a good question. However, melanocytes can be easily stimulated or re-implanted (from hair for example). The problem is that if you don't remove MIA protein, they will never survive. They will never migrate to the patch area.
So, first thing is removing MIA. Avoiding trauma (friction, injuries, etc.) is also a good deal.
thanks for the info. Hopefully something is available soon from this research.
Flavio thanks for sticking to real science, one question always swim in my mind.
the lack of color is not actually the white color. white color doesn't equal no color.
who/what controls the white color we see on our bodies effected by vitiligo ? can we play with those factors ? can we tune it to more "acceptable" level
That's a good point. Anyway, it's like gray hair...
A good alternative to moderate contrast is avoiding sun burn and taking betacarotene.
It's a form of vitamin A. It's better if contains a mix of carotenoids, like:
To remove MIA, the researcher is developing a peptide that renders MIA. With that, there will be no melanocyte detachmen anymore, despite the weak molecule adhesion of the vitiligo sufferer's DNA.
About 6 month ago ,they say in about 2 years they will come With a medicine which is in acrem form..If they do proper clinical approvment and come out after year and half .we will be happy...I think the clinical test take several years...Flavio do you know the letest uppdate when they assume to finish the test?
