celery and Charakani cures??

Hi, in the past couple of weeks, i've had 2 ppl approach me, one claims that a celery shake every morning cured his own vitiligo and that he had gotten the idea from others who did the same.  I've been trying to take my shake but i absolutely ABOR celery, and have so my entire life, the taste makes me nauseous. But considering the possible outcome, i've been blending it with apples and applejuice and then chugging it.  I've only started a couple of days so of course i have not seen any repigmentation, but has anyone else heard about this??

Also, i had another lady claim that a fungs called "Charakani" also cures vit.  I googled it and it looks more like something off an informercial, but i didn't see anything about curing vit. its claims to 100% natural...

please, can anyone shed some light on these topics??

  • Hi,

I have been eating celery and carrots for the past 10 months and I am seeing improvement. The carrots and celery contains natural psolaren and with sun exposure, it should bring about some pigmentation. The process is slow but it is working for me.

  • Since reading this post, I've been drinking a carrot / celery shake each morning.  The taste is not so good, but hopefully the benefits are rewarding.

  • thanks everyone!! i stopped drinking it after a week, but im gonna get right back on to it again, it'll be my new years resolution, haha!! hopefully i'll see some repigmentation soon! thanks again! :D
    • I am recomending it to you, because I eat a celery- apple -carrot - walnut ,salad weekly and occasionally just eat a slice of cellery raw without juicing it . It is so much better tasting and also it is important to be organic. The taste difference between organic and not organic is HUGE. The organic one is a little sweet and the other one is bitter. I am dieting for about 1 year  and the results are starting to come.

      Good look to you

  • Yeah, I've read about it before. Celery, carrot and parsley contain psoralen which is important for skin pigmentation. I used to drink celery, carrot and parsley juice everyday for a few months but I had to stop cuz I really couldn't stand the taste any longer..... and to be honest, I haven't noticed any repigmenting or spreading of vitiligo at the time.

hmmmm I might give it another go.

    Never heard about 'charakani' though.
    • Are you shure parsley contain psoralen , for how long have you tried the deit . you know that you have to be peatent to try, most vitiligo treatments needs atleast 3-4 or 6 months some a year or two. " No pain no gain"

      Bamsegutt
      Good luck!
      • Yeah it does, and parsnip too. I've tried it for 3-4 months, but it tastes absolutely vile. I couldn't tolerate it any longer.

You're right, may be I'll try it again.
  • hey I ll try it to and get back on my vitamins. folic acid and B12
    • Pls try and do so, it really helps. It will be great too if you dont count days for it, you can prepare your mind and go on it for about a year and google to get the right dosage or ask ur physician who believes in it as not all of them believes that it helps. I know of Vit B12 (2000mcg) and Folic Acid (400 - 800mcg) daily.
  • I have heard that carrot juice can help repigmentation. one glass a day. I have tried it but i didnt see any big improvements. I think my repigmentation is really due to me not stressing like I use to.
