I think u all must have heard the name of Systemic corticosteroids (e.g. Oral mini-pulse therapy) which is very effective for FAST-growing vitiligo. Though there may have been 1/2 studies but those showed very good result. It proves that it can HALT the disease but for the FAST-growing vitiligo.I know this has some side-effects but this is not guaranteed. Now why cant we try the same for slow-growing vitiligo. We can modify/modulate/attune the existing version of the therapy to suit slow-growing vitiligo. What is it THAT makes it effective ONLY for FAST-growing vitiligo? If this works for fast-growing vitiligo, why cant we attune it to meet the needs for slow-growing vitiligo?
