Just wondering if there are any others out there that enjoy juicing as much as I do. Nothing makes me feel as good as that and I love sharing recipes. I started several years ago after my diagnosis of vitiligo. I wanted to start trying to take control of my health. I do fall off the wagon every now and then and will go a week or two without juicing but I can tell a huge difference in the way I feel.

That's great that you are noticing repigmentation. Are you undergoing any other treatments? And what kind of green juices do you make and how often do you take them?
No I am not undergoing any other treatments. I juice every other day; and I use whatever greens I can find in the supermarket. These are most of the greens I have been using, NOT all at the same time. I mixed the most six of them some times, and that's those that most likely can make salads togather.
I tried different combinations to find out what taste good and what can or cannot work togather well. So far all the combinations that I have tried tasted good to me. Not as a can of Coke, (LoL!) which I stop using, but good enough to do it again.
Here is the list:
Watercress, Zucchini, Spinach, Green Bean, Cucumber, Collard Green, Broccoli, Calaloo, Mustard Green, Parsley and Moringa Leafs. I also use an half of a Lemon, an Apple or a Carrot sometimes to add flavor.
I am living in the Cayman Islands where us have "hot tropical sunshine" all year, with the exception of a few hours of rain sometimes. I spend very limited time in the sun though, because I often get burnt easily on account of the vitiligo.
In my 35 years of having vitiligo, this is the most I am seeing reversed for me. I don't know if it is the green juice, but whatever it is, I am drinking the juices and I am loving what I am seeing. It's the best I've seen so far and I am hoping for it to continue.
Hi Jojo, do you use juicer or blender? i wonder because of Broccoli and Green bean.and what kind of juicer do you use please let me know. Thanks
Hi Lynn,
I have been green juicing for a few weeks now, and i feel a whole lot better for it. could do with some recipe's also have you tried wheatgrass ?
Hi Mark, Yes, I LOVE wheatgrass. I started growing my own a couple years ago (bought an organic kit online and grew in my kitchen and juiced regularly). Unfortunately, I now have a baby and work full-time so it became too time consuming for the moment but I think wheatgrass is amazing. I did have a little bit of a problem growing it myself (mold very easily grows on wheatgrass if not in the ideal environment) so I struggled with that a bit. I have an organic grocery store near me so fresh organic produce is always available. They do sell wheatgrass there but it's not organic and I try to only juice organic since I do juice so much.
Yes, I have been doing green juice for about six months now, and it's wonderful also I am watching some areas of re-pigmentation which I am watching very keenly because there are some areas that have been returned to normal already. I want to see how long it will last and also if new areas will appear.
For now, I feel good about the green juice concept coupled with balanced meal and no junk-food or sodas. A little meat, mainly fish and chicken.
If the trend that I am seeing continues, I am hoping to see an almost 100% recovery in the next year, (considering I have it for 35 years now).
Let's continue to enjoy natural juice and smoothies and see what happen. It certainly won't hurt like some other means of medications will do.
what do you put in green juice? i also want to try it!
A good movie to watch is Fat Sick and Nearly Dead and a wonderful book (which I'm in the middle of now) is Crazy Sexy Diet. Both are basically about taking control of your health from the inside out. Both also heavily emphasize green juicing. I also try to eat little or no junk food and I never drink soda. I do have one cup of coffee a day but not sure if I could ever give that up. I would love to keep up with each other on progress. I truly feel it has made a big difference for me.
has it made your vit better?
