sadly theren't too many doctors that are experts in treating vitiigo here in the usa. Please could anybody share the names of any allopathic or homopathic doctors who are knowledgeable and successful in treating vitiligo.
There should be a compilition of a list. Surely there must be more than can be done. it effects fewer than a percent of the population and is considered only a cosmetic disorder. I definitely think that patients and parents should share:
1) what helps
2) what causes progression
3) physicians and scientists should study what causes the body to attack melanocytes? could they possibly develop a vaccine?
also could scraping or cutting a small spot - force the skin to regrow with pigment? of course this can't be done on the face.
Is uv light therapy safe or does it casue more harm than good?
