dr vivek i can send you some pictures. Im really interested to see if this will lead to scarring or ay side effects. its a strip down my forehead and on my cheek so anything that will reignite the cells will be so helpful
Yes Dbas, mine is segmental. I cant say its easier to treat from experience but read that its not easy to treat. I actually think that it all depends on the body function, I have repigmented to an extent though and still repigmenting.
Tried steroid for 1wk when it started, no difference. Also tried Vitix for 6months wit morning sun exposure, no difference.
By Vitamin I mean combination of Vit B12 (2000mcg daily), Folic Acid, Vit B5 (Panthotenic Acid) , Vit C, in all of it I have been on antioxidants like Green tea, also dark green veggies which I juice more, carrot also.
I try to cleanse my live every now and then, I started with Milk Thistle then learnt about natural means from www.thewellnesswell.net. I was once on St. Johns Wort and CoQ10 for about a year in combination of the vitamin.
I also try as much as I could to eat natural foods rich in psoralen.
Sometime its hard for me to put down all I have been doing, but just gave you the basics and to top it all, I get my body in a position to heal itslef....Living Positively.
Hope this helps......

Ogo,
compliments. i hope you had a good Christmas. please where can one buy thewellnesswell product in nigeria or do you have to order from them.
They say It is easier to treat Segmental vitiligo by surgical therapies like cell transplantation , once segmental vitiligo gets stable it stays stable longer normally it spreads between 3-12 months .
The case of Segmental V can be nerve associated ting it may not be autoimmune disorder.
What ever you want to try just do it sometimes vitiligo is individual .
Good luck!

Really Vitiligo is individual because in my case, the progression was so fast int first and second year and I continued getting new spots around every February even as I was repigmenting till earlier this yera again when I got a new patch that I fought and it repigmented as fast as it came.
I guess mine is autoimmune disorder as I have been diagnosed of Anemia and after about Three months, they told me am no longer anemic. Was recently diagnosed too of Arthritis. Am on it and trying to find out more about my Vit. By Feb 2011, mine will be 6years
