I'm wondering if there is any link to the probability of vitiligo spreading to where it develops. I have a daughter with vit and it developed at age 7. We noticed one spot behind her knee, within a year, she had a spot on hairline, both eyelids, side, and lower back. All fairly small, and oval. The areas have never grown, and nothing new has developed for 3 years. She has no hand or feet involvement. Also, are there any adults with childhood onset that treated immediately and were able to stop spread/progression? We started Elidel 1.5 years ago, supplements (6mo ago - fish oil, probiotic, multi, D3, B12/Folate) and recently 2 months of NB UVB 3xweek treatment at home. Her first "spot" that went untreated for possibly 1-2 years is quite stubborn but has started to show a few freckles (it is still very white). Her other "spots" were never that white (we treated quickly), and they have all gained quite a bit of pigment with the light. I want to thank everyone on this sight. It has been a source of comfort for me as a mother, and when she needs it, I will allow her to join as well. God bless
