I'm glad to read your words, but in my opinion maybe when the patches are located and few it is possible to repigment 100%, but if vitiligo is general, that is, if it covers us for example 60% I think it is much difficult the repigmentation.
I am trying a lot of years and with different things. When I was 16 more or less a lot of patches went out, but with 22 more or less all patches returned and, also, new paches came. Now I am 32 and I don't find the appropiate treatment.
I have been diagnosed with vitiligo for past six months so I don't have much experience but my only inspiration has been a friend who had a vitiligo some ten years back spread to his lips and knuckles which I believe is very hard to repigment but now he is 100% cured with few small patches on his lips and knuckles, though he can not explain much of how he got cured but from what he explained to me is that he changed his diet, he reduced intake of alcohol as he used to drink whisky so came down to beers, reduced the intake of meat and increased the intake of Vitamin c but not citrus fruits or anything sour also consistently for more than one year he used to apply methoxsalen lotion everyday and sit in the sun early at 6 a.m for a minute, I would have not believed this from what I have seen and heard of vitiligo in past six months but I have physically seen him and he has shared his experience with me, so at this juncture I believe
The treatment lies in our diet.
As for me my vit is spreading very fast but I am still hoping with my change in diet I will get it right.
Maybe it is true that any body got 100% cure, but we have to try in this way, don't you think? I am sure it will arrive the day in which we will have the cure.
Anyway, I have said the word "cure", but like one doctor said me, vitiligo isn't the ilness, but it is the consequence of one disease that nowadays we don`t know. So, first of all we have to know and identify what is the origin of the disease and we have to try to cure this disease, and then we have to treat the consecuence of this disease which is vitiligo.
