Another Possible Treatment

Hey everyone c: so recently my grandmother told my mother about a Vitiligo treatment that showed up on the news channel she constantly watches but couldn't remember the information lol. So my mother ended up telling me about it, and since there was little to no information for me to go off on I just searched for the tv station Telemundo and also type Vitiligo. Thankfully I came across it xD The only problem is....The video and website is all in spanish and even though my grandmother speaks only spanish I can barely speak any lol. So here's the link maybe one of you guys can shed some light on this process for me xD

  • "this is not a new procedure", its actually combining two previous procedures in one, skin graphing and laser treatment, to me laser could be an option, as im doing a phototherapy and vitamins&minerals regimen, even then i still will think about it twice,  but when it comes to skin graphing its definitely a no for me. Vitiligo its very different for everyone, not everyone show improvements with a treatment that gives results for someone else, with that being said skin graphing its too abrasive and knowing my own vitiligo, any trauma to the skin can cause a depigmentation effect. EX: " i had fever and migraine due to a sinus flu for like two weeks, during those days i would put pressure in my forehead with my thumb and index finger to alleviate the pain, after doing that for two weeks, two white spots began to develop in the exact place where i would put pressure, also when i had small cuts or would hit myself accidentally depigmentation would try to develop, thankfully i would catch it and do light therapy on it and reverse it, so knowing that multiple bits of flesh are going to be cut to be transferred to an affected area, its just a bit concerning, for my own skin in this case.

My advice for you is to get to know your vitiligo, the history behind it:

    how did it developed?

when did you first noticed it?

what areas did it first appear at?

what region of your body is affected more by it?

did it developed during a trauma in your life?

what kind of trauma was it? physical? emotional?

do any of your family members have it? even past generations..

do these family member suffered from other health problems?

after you have put all the pieces together, and have a basic knowledge of what vitiligo is and how it works (in your body) then start considering a non abrasive regiment treatments or multiple, as Flavio suggested me, to fight the disorder. whatever you see to give you results continue to do it, that procedure on that link up there can cost from $500 up to $2000 per traeatment, and thats just way too much, which is definitely not going to be covered by insurance (majority of them) because vitiligo is considered a cosmetic disorder.

So best of luck man, dont loose hope and keep your chin up, but if you see that this a treatment of skin graphing and laser is for you, then go for it, nothing hurts to try! if you do let us know your results.

btw im just a message away. :)

    • Very well said Tony!

First thing, before any surgery (grafting, MKTP, etc.) is to untrigger vitiligo.  I mean, stop it from spreading.

Otherwise, it might be a waste of time and money.

      • Agree Flavio...vit have to be stable. before doing any cell treatment.
