Even though my doctor only diagnosed me with vitiligo around March of this year, I now know I've had it for about four years. I've been taking protopic ointment since May and my vitiligo just seems to spread faster and faster.
I have a dermatologist and physician with whom to ask questions, but they aren't giving very helpful information. By researching online I've learned more, but I feel lost and I don't know which facts are true and which are, well, less true (not exactly false, but not accurate). I don't think I'm learning much at all, just becoming more confused.
So I have a few questions to ask:
-What do you think causes your vitiligo to spread?
-Do you have any other diseases that you know of that are connected to vitiligo?
-How has vitiligo affected your life socially, mentally, etc.?
-Do you have any advice for me or others in a similar situation?
