Ginkgo biloba

have anyone of you tried this supplement for treating vitiligo? I have read a few articles stating that it helped in studies with the loss of pigment slowing down or color returning but i am not quiet sure if it worth trying. what are your thoughts?

  • Funny enough I read about this today too in a book from the library, it interested me because we have a huge Ginkgo tree in the backyard
  • On thing to remember when taking vitamins: You have to take them corretly. For the most part, you can't just pop one in your mouth with some water, as most of them tend to work best when taken with food. Also some work better in the morning vs night. And some counter eachother, and you get nothing. So bottom line, just do some research and make sure you are taking them properly.
  • My husband got repigmented just by Ginko tablets and Vitamin Supplements. No side effects. he is still taking it even though he is cured.
  • In my honest opinion, I am skeptical that Ginkgo Biloba has any effect on vitiligo. I was taking ginkgo biloba for a few months and there was no effect from this supplement. In theory, ginkgo biloba helps to promote healthy blood circulation.
  • Both myself and my two kids (each had one area of depigmentation-resolved with Protopic and steriod cream) take one 120mg Ginkgo daily with a multi-vitamin. No further "spots" have appeared thus far.
  • This was not a well proven one.. Because the tests were conducted on some few tens of people and out of then found few tens of them responded positively. I am taking this everyday since 3 months, since its doesnt have any side effects on me.. It works or not.. its supposed to be good in general...
  • I did try it but had to stop because of it's nasty side effect ( bleeding). But everyone is different and I've read that bleeding is very rare so who know it might help....
